While the downfall of the casino industry in Atlantic City, NJ has created a visible impact with numerous ghostly towering buildings, including the 47 story Revel, constructed at a cost of 2.4 billion dollars, there are still a few reasons to go visit.
The Water Club at Borgata, is definitely one of those reasons. The hotel is probably the best location to stay at, it is located in the Marina area of Atlantic City, which means you avoid the strange mixed of characters found in those located on the boardwalk.
At The Water Club you will also find an adult only pool, making your stay a more relaxing one. For those guests with kids, the pool at the adjacent Borgata are kids friendly and accesible free of charge.
The Borgata casino, also provides with some of the best options for dinning in Atlantic City, Bobby Flay Steak, Old Homestead Steak House and Fornelleto are some of our favorites. Advance reservations on weekends are strongly recommended.
Its proximity to New York City and Philadelphia makes of Atlantic City a perfect weekend getaway as it can be reach within a couple of ours from those metropolitan areas.
Looking to pamper yourself? Both The Water Club and Borgata offer great quality spas, we prefer Spa Toccare are Borgata over Immersion at The Water Club. The Borgata Glow facial is a must!
While you stay at Borgata, do take sometime to experience the Atlantic City boardwalk, it’s the Jersey Shore after all and it could use the extra foot traffic lately. Cuba Libre at the Tropicana and the Continental on the upper level of the Caesars’ Pier Shops are other great dining options.
If you gamble, do register for a membership card at the casinos, this way you will gain comps and save on your next visit.
